"Having had the privilege to be part of the growth of Pacific Smiles and the implementation of its founding values, culture and patient experience committment. I would like to see the company return to its founding values and reach its potential. Existing executive leaders were handed a company that’s Centre base was reaching maximum profit potential at the time and have been unable to leverage that and grow. How long can execs use Covid as an excuse? and if Covid disrupted so badly, staff were stood down and not paid and share prices fell how were bonuses and pay increases approved for executives during this period and since then by the board? 100% culture and values matter. Strong purposeful and credible leadership needs to be restored. Only now with the marketplace discussion have the board finally said no to CEO rem increase on non performance"

"Plenty had change once the company went under new management. Factors listed below definitely added to the decision of me resigning.
- Staffing issues: staff had to be assigned to other clinics that had a shortage (and there was plenty as clinics were being built around but had no staffing to accomodate them) which meant those clinics were then short staffed.
- Staff ratio they placed was stupid - especially the bigger centres. If management staff had taken time to look into what we had to deal with day to day, they would've notice how ridiculous their calculations was - any of our concerns or issues that had arisen weren't taken in to consideration or being listened to especially from management.
- Clinic managers had so much pressure put on them with little to zero help especially from management - staff were not happy with new management, which meant no one wanted to be at work, which puts morales low and its not an environment you'd like to be in"

"Thank you for being the voice of the people who matter because we are the workers and we are not heard. We are the ones that put in the hard yards at the ground level, we are the ones that want change the most and have voiced our displeasure but we do not having a voting right, or a title, so we are not heard. Thank you for hearing us and wanting change too. Thank you for showing us we do matter. You have given us all hope"

"I started working at PSG just before Covid lockdown number 1 in NSW. The team started off being very supportive and content. Gradually I saw each member in my team resign and their roles replaced 2-3 times (meaning that the team cycled through 30 people in just over 2 years.) I feel that the domino effect resignation within my team stemmed from management’s intense focus exponential growth whilst ignoring that new staff were being inadequately trained due to rapid turnover, and software and systems were collapsing under the pressure and coping volume they were not designed to handle. This resulted in staff working in some cases almost double their paid hours."

"Morale is at an all time low and we are losing staff. I dont think anyones needs are being address or heard. Before it seemed like we had a flowing system, we were always provided a great roster, we always knew what was happening and never felt unhappy at work. There was balance."

"Management is aggressive, unsupportive, uneducated, political, play favourites, don’t care about the patients , don’t care about retention of dentists, staff or patients. Don’t seem to understand a thing about a health care facility or how to boost moral and create an engaged workforce"

"Forget about growth! Focus on the needs, happiness and work life balance of staff. Fix D4W, educate the practitioners and give practitioner settlements the time and attention it deserves. If the practitioners are as important to the company as management says they are then give them the attention they deserve. DCS is dental centre support, team members there shouldn’t be made to bend over backwards to “make things work” using band aid fixes only to have to deal with compounded problems."

" I have definitely felt like resigning due to lack of support for myself in management, over 12 years the company has gone from a family orientated business whom cared about their staff to a money driven company that is all about figures and making employees feel like a number that's easily replaceable."

"My centre and others I know have lost 15 very good workers, practitioners and management with two more on the way and many considering a change everyday, dreading coming to work and bringing down their mental health which does not seem to be acknowledged by management and regional managers. If you want good staff you need to treat good staff like they matter or more and more will leave and the company will ultimately fail"

"Improve how PSG treats all staff, DAs are unappreciated, don't hire managers with absolutely no knowledge or experience relating to dental, it makes the job that much harder for everyone when someone who is totally unfit and incompetent for the job is hired to look after an entire centre"
